As the curator states in the "COMFORT" booklet received with this December Subscription box, "This is a quiet box. Designed to dissolve the sharp edges of your day and conjure a spell of all-around ease." As I unbox this subscription, I am completely amazed at the hard work that went into each piece included to provide me this Comfort. This box was received from the special artists in India and South Africa. Also, each month you receive a hand-woven basket from Mexico.

Check out the Beautiful hand-crafted items included in December's COMFORT BOX ....

As we still have the chill in the air from Winter, this Globe In COMFORT box will provide me with all the warmth needed to get me to Spring!

Woven Cotton Throw

WOVEN COTTON THROW - iNDIA

This throw is woven by global textile company Piece & Co. This company allows the women of Karur to bring their goods to the world market. Allowing them to establish their traditional skills and support their families and communities. In turn keeping their craft alive. Not only that, this blanket is environmentally friendly. Woven from recycled cotton scraps saving land, water, energy and reduce landfill waste. It does a heart good to know when I snuggle up with this lovely piece of art by the fireplace, I am somewhat helping someone else in the world.

Pyramid Candles

HAND-PAINTED PYRAMID CANDLES - South Africa

These exquisite candles hand-painted by an artist in South Africa working for Nobunto, part of the fair trade community. Catherine, who painted these pyramids, loves to dance and this is quite evident from her fun lines she paints with her joyful hand. Nobunto employs women from Napier to not only help them out but to share their artistic treasures with the global market. It's going to be hard to burn these candles knowing how much work went into them. I think they will remain in their true form forever. I'm going to find a lovely glass tile to place these on and showcase their beauty.

Tea cup and saucer

TEA CUP AND SAUCER - Tunisia

Made in Nabeul, Tunisia by La Souk Ceramique. This studio was established in 1997 and has put to work 58 employees. Not just employees, they are part of team creating beautiful pottery pieces with La Souk Ceramique. GlobeIn's partnership with this company has provided work for these 58 employees. This alone has provided the equivalent work to a full year employment for only two bisque-makers and four painters. That's incredible. That is why I love this subscription box so much. I get these beautiful treasures and know that the company I am getting these boxes from are giving back to so many people in need.

EQUAL ROOIBOS TEA

ROOIBOS HERBAL TEA - India/South Africa

Equal Exchange Tea is about giving the tea farmers a voice and control of their futures. Equal Exchange Teas is a revolution to the industry of tea by investing in small farmer parnters. The other Fair Trade teas are mostly grown on plantations. Equal Exchange Tea hopes by supporting these small farmer partners, they can help them keep their land from being swallowed up by these plantations. Sitting down with this tea has shed a beautiful light knowing this company is so ethical and with that being said, the tea will be a lot easier to swallow.

Palm Leaf Basket

PALM LEAF BASKET - Mexico

Every month Globein Artisan Boxes include one of these palm leaf baskets. The Oaxacan weavers represent the spiritual foundation of Globein's mission to build everlasting friendships with artisans around the world. I use these baskets for holding various things around the house. My latest thing is organizing my makeup in these baskets. Globein aslo suggest in their booklet to make it a tea basket and refresh with your seasonal teas. Fun!!!
