This is the snazziest spice box out there. With a subscription from SPICED UP, each month you'll receive hand-curated spices, rubs, small-batch condiments and ingredients with facts on origin and how to use them, as well as kitchen tested recipes and a cool kitchen gadget. They also add in some of their local flair, by including a New England made spice/sauce/rub sample in each box.

I love trying new recipes as I get really tired of eating the same meals over and over again. My SPICED UP subscription offers me the chance to really spice it up in the kitchen. Besides including a couple easy to follow new recipes, the spices included also help rev up the usual go-to meals.

OUR LOCAL TABLE - CHILI & GARLIC GLAZE

Sweet and Spicy

USES: Noodles, Vegetables, Pork, Stir-fry, Chicken, Asian Cuisine, and as a Dipping Sauce.

I steamed some beans and added this glaze after I drained the beans. Wow! A great hit of heat with enough sweet to calm beans.

chinese 5 spice

CHINESE FIVE SPICE POWDER

USES: A great addition to rice, vegetables, pork, stir-fry, chicken and Asian cuisine

I roasted Butternut Squash in the oven with a little olive oil, sesame oil and some of this Chinese Five Spice Powder. It elevated the flavor of the squash to the perfect Asian level.

dukkah

DUKKAH

There are countless recipes for dukkah. Just about every mixture includes nuts (most often hazelnuts, but various other kinds may be used alone or in combination), sesame seeds, coriander, and cumin. To this, a cook might add dried thyme, mint, peppercorns, or various other sweet, hot, and savory herbs and spices.

SPICED UP DUKKAH BLEND: Hazelnuts, sesame, coriander, cumin, black pepper, sumac, sea salt, nigella seeds, Aleppo and spearmint.

USES: Dukkah is often used as a crust for lamb, chicken, fish, and even tofu. The warm, aromatic mixture is irresistible when served as a dip with bread and olive oil. It can be sprinkled on everything from roasted vegetables, pasta, feta cheese, and even fresh fruit.

flippin chicken

FLIPPIN' THE BIRD

This chicken seasoning blend has a herby flavor profile with sweet and citrus undertones.

USES: They recommend using 1 TBS. of seasoning per pound of chicken, adjusting to taste. It's also absolutely delicious on grilled chicken, chicken wings, baked chicken and even eggs.

SRIRACHA2GO KEYCHAIN

How many times have you sat across from your lunch or meal and thought, if only I had some Sriracha? This cool little keychain has come to the rescue. So convenient and easy to take on the go with it's handy clip you can find it in an instant.

spiced up

Once again SPICED UP introduced me to spices I have not heard of, heard of but never tried, did try but they were no where as flavorful as SPICED UP's interpretations! Such a Super reasonably priced subscription box for all you get. I feel like it's as fun as hiring a chef for the day, but costs way less and you actually get the spices to experiment on your own. HURRY UP and join to get October's SPICE UP box before they sell out. I already saw a cool sneak preview of the skull spoon coming.
